corner lot on busy street

This corner lot has quite a lot of traffic noise as well as lots of lawn edge to maintain. We set out to reduce maintenance and make an inviting enclave on the side of the house away from traffic. See the full design document. 

In the course of the design process, we found that the trees along the back of the lot were English buckthorn, a plant with a reputation for spreading aggressively. Since neither neighbor wanted them there, we came back to remove them in the spring.
